a division of The Ledger Law FirmThe Ledger Law Firm

The most important person in our office is you.

That line has been on the wall at The Ledger Law Firm for decades. LedgerEviction is what happens when a firm built on that idea turns its full attention to the people nobody builds software or law firms for: landlords.

Why a personal injury firm built an eviction practice

Emery Brett Ledger has spent 28 years as a trial lawyer — licensed in California, Texas, and Washington — representing people who couldn’t fight for themselves. Along the way he kept meeting another kind of client the legal industry quietly ignores: the small landlord. A retired couple with one rental. A tradesman with a duplex. People whose tenant stopped paying four months ago, who can’t reach a lawyer who’ll quote a straight price, and who are told “it depends” while the mortgage doesn’t wait.

LedgerEviction is the landlord division of The Ledger Law Firm, and it does one thing: residential evictions. Not because evictions are all we’ve ever done — our firm’s roots are in the courtroom — but because we believe the way this work is sold is broken, and fixing it takes total focus. Published prices instead of “call us.” Your county’s actual court costs shown before you type your name. A tracker that tells you what’s happening without a phone tree. And a licensed attorney — named, with a bar number — on every single case.

We’re down-to-earth, levelheaded people. We answer in plain English, en español también. We won’t promise you an outcome, because nobody honestly can. What we promise is the thing landlords tell us they’ve never had: knowing exactly what it costs, exactly where it stands, and exactly who’s responsible.

A family firm, literally

The next chapter is a family one: our South Carolina division is planned for late 2026, to be led by the founder’s daughter following her admission to the South Carolina Bar. The Ledger Law Firm is not currently licensed in South Carolina and is not offering services there at this time.

What we believe

Experience. Integrity. Results. Large enough to build real technology; small enough that a human answers. We’d rather take care of your case correctly than merely quickly — though our tracker means you’ll see exactly how quickly, too.

How we’re different, in one paragraph

Most cheap eviction services aren’t law firms — no attorney ever touches your case. Most law firms treat evictions as an afterthought billed by the hour. LedgerEviction is the third thing: a real firm’s courtroom DNA, focused exclusively on evictions, wrapped in software that shows you everything. That’s the whole pitch. The rest is on the pricing page, in public, where it belongs.
