What you type into the order form

When you start an eviction online we keep the answers you give: your name, email and phone number, the rental property’s address, the tenant’s name, the rent and what is owed, and the dates and documents you provide. We use them to prepare your case, to reach you about it, and to prepare your fee agreement. Your answers are also saved in your own browser as you go so that you do not lose them, and are cleared from it when you submit.

Documents you send us

A lease, a rent ledger, a notice or any other document you upload is kept with your case.

Your card

If you save a card for stage billing, the card number and security code go straight from your browser to our payment processor, LawPay. They do not pass through and are not kept on our servers.

Counting visits

When a public page of this site is opened we record that the page was opened, the state the page is about, and a random number that lasts only as long as that browser tab is open. When you move through the order form we record which step was reached, in the same way. These records hold nothing you typed, set no cookie, and are deleted after 90 days.

If you came from an advertisement

When you reach this site by clicking one of our advertisements, the address carries a click number from the advertising platform (Google or Microsoft). We keep that number in your browser tab while it is open, and if you place an order in that tab we keep it with the order, with the page you landed on and the time.

Google Tag Manager

Our public pages load Google Tag Manager, a tool for managing website tags. The order form, the fee agreement and the case tracker do not load it.

Emails

We email you about your own case. Reminder emails carry a link to stop them. Emails about a step in your case or a document continue while your case is open.

Who sees your information

The attorneys and staff of The Ledger Law Firm who work on your case. We do not sell your information.

Your privacy choices

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. This website does not sell your information and does not pass it to any advertising company. It adds no visitor to an advertising audience, so there is nothing here for you to switch off. To ask what we hold about you, or to ask us to correct or remove it, write to privacy@ledgerlaw.com.

Children

This website is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly keep information from children under 18.
